Sylvia Blake

Founder

Sylvia Greene Blake is the founder and president of the Bradley Blake Foundation. She has worked in the community for over 25 years serving in many capacities. Her past performance and outstanding dedication to the Bradley Blake Foundation are not just noteworthy achievements, but have been her purpose, heart’s desire, and most passionate work! A strong advocate for promoting nonviolence, Sylvia embraces the philosophy that the important work we do today in investing in our youth will indeed make a difference in their future. Her contribution to her local community further confirms her commitment to young people and their development.

Throughout her career, Sylvia has worked at Trident Technical College, Industrial and Engineering Technology Division; Globe University (online division); and H&R Block.

Sylvia holds a Master of Management Degree in Business Administration from Charleston Southern University and a Bachelor of Science from Limestone College.

Sylvia serves as an arbitrator for the 9th Circuit Solicitor’s Office and is a member of the Berkeley County Sheriff Department Community Advisory Board. She is a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, as well as the prestigious Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Sylvia’s belief is that “the community we live in should be a safe haven environment and free from violence.” She is committed to making a difference in her community and the lives of our youth.

Tonya Blake

Chief Financial Officer

Tonya Blake has worked in the financial industry for 15 years in various roles. In her current role, Tonya works for Wells Fargo Bank, NA in Charlotte, NC in the treasury management department managing risk and daily treasury operational services for corporate clients. She has been helping with fundraisers for various organizations and involved in community service events. Her personal goal for the foundation is to bring about innovative ways we can change the nature of our surrounding communities through sharing and caring for one another.

Louis Leshea Blake

Vice President

Louis Leshea Blake served four years in the United States Army. He is presently employed by the federal government as a rural carrier at the USPS in Charleston, SC. Louis has several years of experience working in the community on different youth activities. He is inspired by children and had the heart of compassion to reach our youth. Louis is also a student at Charleston’s ITT Technical Institute.

Wakettia Ferguson

Financial Specialist/Consultant

Wakettia Ferguson has more than 17 years of experience in the finance and banking industry and has spent the majority of that time with Truist Bank Corporation. Through increasing product knowledge and service levels, she is able to exceed client and colleague expectations, and as a result, continues to climb up the management ranks, where she most recently joined the Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s wealth management team in Washington, DC. She is looking forward to being a vital asset to the Bradley Blake Foundation by consulting with us to help us achieve financial success and economic security.

Jason Glover

Marketing Director

Jason Glover is a 2013 graduate of Clemson University. He specializes in public relations and serves as the marketing director of the Bradley Blake Foundation. Jason believes his purpose is to help people and organizations bring their best with the skills he provides.

Kim Greene

Community Impact Director

Kim Greene manages a human resource program at a technical college. She earned a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership and has over twenty years in customer service and community volunteerism. Ms. Greene is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority and serves as chairman of the organization’s social and political action committee for the state of South Carolina. She serves as a member of her church’s Women’s Missionary Society and is involved in local education, health promotion and family-strengthening activities. Ms. Greene firmly believes in the African proverb “…it takes a village…” She is elated to offer her talents that will prayerfully convey positive outcomes to the mission, vision and commitment of the Bradley Blake Foundation.

Sherena Greene

Financial Bookkeeper

Sherena Greene currently works as the financial bookkeeper and secretary at Berkeley Intermediate School for approximately 26 years. She is knowledgeable in office, finance and budgeting procedures. Always seeking to improve her skills and remain a lifelong learner, she has earned an associate’s degree in secretarial science and a Bachelor of Technology in Business Management. She also holds a Master of Business Administration and a graduate certificate in networking/information systems, where she is using those skills to assist and teach others in this fast-paced world of technology. She is also involved with the community nursing home ministry where services are rendered on a monthly basis. Ms. Greene enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, encouraging others, reading and singing.

Rab Greene

Business Manager

Rab Greene is a U.S. Navy veteran, a business manager of Greene Family Reunion’s southern chapter, and a Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges Award recipient. He is a graduate of St. Stephen High School and Claflin University. Rab is a member of the Iota Theta Sigma chapter of Phi Beta Sigma. He is a member of Greater Refuge Temple COOLJC and served as a deacon and trustee board member. Rab retired from a 36-year shift manager career with E.I. Dupont/Dak Americas and now resides in Goose Creek, SC, with wife Mary. He is the proud father to two children and a loving grandfather to two grandkids.

Levolia Rhodes

Victim Advocate

Levolia Rhodes holds a bachelor’s degree from South Carolina State University and an MBA from Claflin University. She has worked as an SC Law Enforcement Officer, DSS Case Manager, Foster Home Licensing Specialist, and Law Enforcement Victims Advocate, from which she recently retired. She serves as a Peer Reviewer for the Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs and as a trainer for the South Carolina Foster Parent Association. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and a member of the Bradley Blake Foundation’s Homicide Survivors Support Group, serving as a victims advocate. She too is a homicide survivor. Levolia’s career has been dedicated to serving the public and working with traumatized children, adults, and underserved populations. Serving on the board of the Bradley Blake Foundation is among the most rewarding of her achievements.

Alonia Calloway

Senior Advisory Director

Alonia is an entrepreneur and manager of unique creations and gifts for over 22 years. As an artist, she creates arrangements for all occasions and holidays. As a unique designer, she diligently strives to provide customers with quality products that meet their needs. As the foundation’s senior advisory director, she offers wisdom and knowledge while mentally and spiritually supporting our team.

QuMiller Glover

Board Secretary

QuMiller Glover brings 30+ years of performance-driven leadership, providing high-level administrative and operational support, coordinating schedules, preparing events, while acting as a liaison between senior executives, vendors, team members and community organizations. She has a reputation for driving efficiency and detail, remaining calibrated in high-stress environments, and delivering best-in-class results. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping and is passionate about helping others.

Dekera Greene Rodriguez, Esq.

Board Member

Dekera Greene Rodriguez, Esq. is an attorney at law in Washington, DC. She is the co-founder of the Acres of Ancestry Initiative/Black Agrarian Fund, where she works to preserve black family land ownership and stewardship and black eco-cultural traditions. Dekera also volunteers as an attorney for the District of Columbia Bar’s Probate Resource Center, where her advocacy has helped educate families on issues of taxation, partitions and titles.

Taylor Grooms

Board Member

Taylor Lawrence Grooms was born and raised in Bonneau, SC. He attended Berkeley County public schools from grades K-12 and is an honor graduate of Timberland High School. Taylor attended Clemson University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. From there, he attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he graduated with cum laude honors and made the dean’s list for five consecutive semesters.

After law school, Taylor served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Roger M. Young Sr. During this time, Judge Young served as the chief business court judge, and also as the chief administrative judge for both the ninth circuit (Berkeley and Charleston counties) and fourteenth circuit (Allendale, Hampton and Colleton counties). After his clerkship, Taylor went to work as a trial attorney at the Steinberg Law Firm. He currently practices with the firm’s injury team in the Goose Creek office.

Hernetha Goodman

Board Member

Hernetha Goodman has an associate’s degree in business administration with 22 years retired as an administrative support specialist at Trident Technical College. She currently owns and operates Occasions by Hernetha (an event planning specialist) and serves as the president of the Antioch Baptist Association Deaconesses.
